The battle continues this week to bring under control the wildfires burning in southern Greece.
Foreign firefighters and aircraft have been called in to help bring the fires under control.
The blaze has already claimed 64 lives in the last week - and has devastated thousands of acres of forest and olive groves.
Most of the firefighting efforts are concentrated in the mountains of the Peloponnese in the south and on the island of Evia north of Athens.
Nikos Diamandis, a fire department spokesman, said that firefighters have arrived from 17 countries to work in the Peloponnese region.
He also explained that 18 planes and 18 helicopters would be used in the southern firefighting effort.
The flames have also done significant economic damage to Greece. Government estimates suggest the immediate relief effort alone will cost around $410 million.
